SUMMARY:Concert A CHORAL TAPESTRY for Norham Parish Church
DESCRIPTION:Picture\, if you will\, a large wall-hung tapestry consisting o
f various pictured scenes - working weavers and a blacksmith\, a wide rive
r\, the countryside and a country fair. The pictures are surrounded by mul
 ti-coloured patterns of flowers\, birds\, and vegetation.\n
Our Choral Tapestry this afternoon paints those pictures in music
  - mainly the stories told in folksong or by Rabbie Burns and Billy Joel\,
alongside the patterned surrounds in threads and patches of many colours
 - gold & silver\, blue\, black & yellow\, lilac & red. \n
A feast for the eyes becomes one for the ears. Then we add words\,
written especially for this programme by our resident poet Arthur.\nWe hop
